One of my favourite recent bands have just released a new album and have a new video to accompany one of the tracks from it.
Since being introduced to Cancer Bats by a friend a few years back, I’ve been a fan of their music and seen them live on a number of occasions ( both as Cancer Bats & Bat Sabbath ). So I was pleased to hear they had surprisingly released a new album straight away today ( Friday 20th April 2018 ) entitled ‘The Spark That Moves’. If this wasn’t enough joyous news they’ve also released a new video for the track ‘Heads Will Roll’ from the same new album.
The album is the bands follow up to 2015’s ‘Searching For Zero’ which was a good album but in my opinion not as good as ‘Hail Destroyer’ or ‘Bricks & Mortar’. So I’ll be giving the album a listen later today and if comments made by frontman Liam Cormier are anything to go by this should be a great album. As mentioned before they also have a new video out which is more of a stripped back to basics video in my opinion, with just the band playing in a recording studio. I say this as they have released previous videos which have had a more comical/quirky vibe similar to some of the Foo Fighters videos of years gone by.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to see them on their UK tour dates already announced but look forward to seeing them soon and hopefully performing songs from the new album. If you are going to see them you can see the new video on the Loudersound website at the following link New Cancer Bats Video.
